We started an Instagram account for Shadow back in 2017 when we lived in Chicago (RIP @shadowthechiberian) as simply a way to efficiently share his ridiculously cute puppy photos with friends and family.

Over time, our following continued to grow and by the time we moved to Seattle in 2019, this hobby became a passion project. A passion with an exponential growth of furriends – more than 50,000 to date! 

Since then, through trial and error, we have learned SO MUCH about social media and have really enjoyed the process. So much so that we want to give back to this amazing community by sharing what’s worked for us so it might help similar accounts reach their goals – and selfishly to keep the canine content coming!!

Discovering the pet community on Instagram has been amazing. We love meeting new furriends and continue to be blown away by all of the talent, wit and cuteness here. Shadow & now Peaches have grown up online with a lot of you and we truly love and adore your pets as much as you probably love and adore Shadow & Peaches.
